The GT-500 development program was started with the goal of producing the best performing Quicksilver ever. Quicksilver’s aim was to design an aircraft that would transcend the category of ultralight & provide general aviation with the entry level aircraft it desperately needed. The focus was on more speed, better aerodynamics, and a greater range.

Tandem arrangement provides outstanding visibility for the pilot since the wing is behind him, the instrument panel is low and there is no body obstructing his view to one side.

The GT 400 has spring loaded landing gear, four position flaps, state-of-the art gear suspension, and a virtually vibration-free engine mount. The GT 400 has one of the lowest cockpit noise level of all ultralights tested and can cruise at 58 mph.

Other important features include tapered wings, short take-off and landing, airspeed indicator, quick set-up and breakdown, adjustable pilot seat, and extraordinary visibility from the cockpit.
